Kimberly Bettisworth

Kim BettisworthKimberly J. Bettisworth has been practicing family law and domestic relations law for fifteen years. Prior to opening the law firm in 2007, Kimberly was a partner at Hammond and Shinners P.C. and is proud to have been mentored by John A. “Jack” Turcotte, Jr. who is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and who is now retired.

Kimberly received the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the St. Louis County Bar Association in 2002 and is a former Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Missouri Bar. Throughout Kimberly’s legal career she has been an active volunteer representing victims of domestic violence through Legal Advocates of Abused Women and the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.

In addition to her law practice, Kimberly was a contributing author to the Missouri Bar Desk Book Section on “Rights of the Unwed” and is a former Special Representative to the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Kimberly also enjoyed teaching Family Law in the paralegal studies program at Maryville University for several years prior to opening her law firm.

Kimberly obtained her law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1994. Kimberly graduated from Michigan State University in 1991.
